Those pictures were taken by young traveller Magdalena Skopek while two months of daily life with Yamal’s indigenous inhabitants, the Nenets. What really struck me about it is the contrast between the innocence of little children and goriness of the act of eating raw meat with their bare hands. It is shocking how they look relaxed and happy while having their clothes and faces covered with fresh blood. I always found it really interesting how nowadays some groups of people still manage to live away from civilization and stay loyal to their traditions and habits.
